ASHEVILLE, N.C. (Local News Wire) – A woman has been charged in connection with a fatal motorcycle crash on New Leicester Highway on February 13.
Authorities said Jennifer Louise Saylor, 56, faces charges of misdemeanor death by vehicle and unsafe movement.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:23 p.m. at the intersection of New Leicester Highway and Eliada Home Road, according to police.
Tylor Russell Holzhauser, 27, was riding a 2024 Kawasaki ER650 motorcycle southbound when he collided with Saylor’s 2013 Toyota Prius, authorities reported.
Holzhauser was attempting to turn left onto Eliada Home Road when the crash occurred. He was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
New Leicester Highway was closed for over an hour as emergency crews responded and investigated the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
