TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. – A motorcycle crash on Friday night, Sept. 5, has resulted in the death of a Cottondale woman.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), 47-year-old Alisa Lamay was critically injured when her Harley-Davidson motorcycle left the roadway and struck a guardrail.
Lamay was airlifted to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Hospital, where she was subsequently pronounced dead, ALEA reported.
The crash occurred on Interstate 59 near the 63-mile marker. Validations of lane closures and tow status are pending.
ALEA is conducting the investigation into the cause of the crash.
