HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) – A woman was killed and her husband seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Highway 67 Sunday night.
According to Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove, the incident occurred around 8 p.m. near Big John Road. Sarah White, 40, was riding on the back of a motorcycle when it collided with a truck.
Hargrove confirmed that following the collision, the truck driver fled the scene on foot. Michael White, the motorcycle’s operator and Sarah’s husband, was airlifted to USA Medical Center in Mobile for treatment.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash. No additional details regarding lane closures or other vehicles involved have been released.
