Woman Injured in Barton County Motorcycle Crash.

LINDA S. SCHNEIDER INJURED IN BARTON COUNTY MOTORCYCLE CRASH ON SUNDAY MORNING

Barton County, KS — A Nebraska woman was injured in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on K156 Highway Sunday morning.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), the incident occurred around 10:22 a.m., approximately 0.1 miles west of NE 100 Ave, east of Cheyenne Bottoms. A 2017 Honda CTX700 motorcycle, traveling east, experienced a mechanical malfunction, leading the 69-year-old driver to lose control and enter the westbound lanes.

Driver Linda S. Schneider, a resident of Ralston, Nebraska, was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the west ditch. She was transported to University of Kansas Health Systems – Great Bend Campus with suspected minor injuries. KHP reported that Schneider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Emergency responders were on the scene to assist, and the investigation is ongoing. Details regarding lane closures and tows have not been released.
