Woman killed in hit-and-run motorcycle crash at Outdoor Adventures.

A 48-year-old woman died in a hit-and-run motorcycle crash in Richfield Township on Friday night.

According to the Richfield Township Police Department, the woman was riding west on Richfield Road around 11:40 p.m., with her husband following on a separate motorcycle. A 58-year-old local man driving a 2015 Jeep Cherokee reportedly exited the Outdoor Adventures campground driveway, colliding with the woman.

Emergency responders transported the victim to Hurley Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries overnight. Authorities said the driver of the Jeep fled the scene. Investigators found vehicle debris, identifying it as a gray 2015 Jeep Cherokee with damage on the driver’s side.

Police apprehended the suspect on Saturday and lodged him in the Genesee County Jail on unspecified charges. Investigators are preparing to submit reports to the Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office to determine potential charges. The suspect has not been publicly identified as he awaits arraignment.
