Woman Dies in Grand Crossing Accident on South Chicago Avenue
Grand Crossing, Illinois (September 3, 2023) – A woman riding a motorcycle was killed in a collision in Grand Crossing on Saturday night, according to the Chicago police.
Two vehicles were involved in the incident that took place in the 6900 block of South Chicago Avenue at around 8:40 p.m. on September 2.
According to police, the woman was riding a motorcycle northbound on South Chicago Avenue when she was hit by a dark-colored sedan heading in the same direction.
The motorcyclist was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the sedan, a 26-year-old woman, was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The identities of the involved parties were not immediately released.
Police said citations were expected, and the accident is under investigation.
