GILBERT, AZ — A woman was sentenced to 15 days in jail for a November 2025 incident that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to authorities, 33-year-old Brandi Colangelo was booked into the Maricopa County jail on Monday after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of causing serious physical injury or death by moving violation.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Gilbert and Ray roads on Nov. 4, 2025, when Colangelo failed to yield while making a left turn, colliding with 61-year-old Don Porter, who died at the scene.
Details regarding Colangelo’s sentencing have not been disclosed, and no further investigation is currently underway.
