Woman succumbs to injuries from Fairbanks dirt bike crash.

FAIRBANKS, Alaska — A Fairbanks woman died Thursday from injuries sustained in a dirt bike crash involving a car on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Fairbanks Police Department, 22-year-old Lakeisha Nollner-Albert was a passenger on a stolen dirt bike operated by 20-year-old Clayton Nelson when the incident occurred at 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of 21st Avenue and Cowles Street. Nollner-Albert suffered a severe head injury and remained unresponsive before being flown to an Anchorage hospital, where she later died.

Nelson, who has a revoked driver’s license, also sustained serious injuries, including a broken femur and pelvis, and was transported to the same hospital. Neither individual was wearing helmets at the time of the crash. The driver of the car involved in the collision was uninjured.

Approximately three hours after the crash, a local resident reported their dirt bike had been stolen. Authorities are investigating the incident.
