Motorcyclist Dies After Hit-and-Run on Route 210
A motorcyclist died following a hit-and-run incident on Route 210 in Indian Head on May 3 at approximately 7:40 p.m.
Harry Washington III, 32, was riding with a 9-year-old girl when they were struck by an orange 2013 Dodge Dart, which entered the southbound lanes. Both victims were airlifted to area hospitals, where Washington later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver and passenger of the Dodge fled on foot from the crash scene. However, the passenger, identified as Jose Osmin Orellana Santamaria of White Plains, returned shortly afterward to seek medical assistance.
Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating the driver of the Dodge Dart. Anyone with information is urged to contact Sgt. Justin Zimmerman at (301) 392-1200.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
