Multiple-Vehicle Collision on Highway 101 Near Springfield Leaves Two Injured
A multi-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 101 near Springfield at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, resulting in two confirmed injuries.
According to the Oregon State Police, the incident involved three vehicles traveling southbound. Emergency responders from the Springfield Fire Department and Medics arrived on the scene shortly after the crash.
Two individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Springfield Medical Center for treatment. Their identities have not been released at this time.
Authorities reported that the accident caused temporary lane closures on the southbound side of Highway 101, but traffic has since resumed normal flow. An investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, with no charges reported at this time.
