A 19-year-old motorcyclist died following a collision with a sedan in Bristow, Virginia, on Saturday evening, according to Prince William County police.
Officers responded to the crash at approximately 7:55 p.m. in the vicinity of Linton Hall and Nokesville roads. Authorities reported that the motorcycle, a 2004 Kawasaki ZX-6R, was observed speeding southbound on Nokesville Road prior to the incident.
As an officer activated their lights and sirens, the motorcyclist reportedly accelerated towards Linton Hall Road. At that time, a 2024 Nissan Sentra was stopped at a red light on Linton Hall Road. The sedan’s driver, a 50-year-old woman from Bealeton, began turning right onto Nokesville Road when the motorcycle collided with her vehicle.
The motorcyclist, identified as a Manassas resident, was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The Nissan driver received treatment for minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. Authorities encourage witnesses to come forward with any additional information.
