19-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in High-Speed Crash Following Police Pursuit in Virginia.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. – A 19-year-old Manassas man died on Saturday night after his motorcycle collided with a car in Bristow.

The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. on November 1 near Linton Hall Road and Nokesville Road, according to the Prince William County Police. The motorcyclist was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed when an officer conducted stationary speed enforcement.

Authorities said when the officer activated emergency lights, the motorcyclist turned off his headlights and accelerated toward Linton Hall Road. He later collided with a 2024 Nissan Sentra making a right turn from Linton Hall Road onto Nokesville Road.

The motorcyclist, identified as Edwin Stephen Essiaw, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Nissan, a 50-year-old woman, received treatment for minor injuries.

The Prince William County Police Crash Investigation Unit is investigating the incident and encourages any witnesses to contact law enforcement.
