UNITY TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
A 20-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash on Route 30 in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, on Monday.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Ethan Enos.
According to authorities, an SUV was leaving a parking lot to cross Route 30 westbound when it turned into the eastbound lane near State Route 982.
The SUV driver failed to see Enos approaching and turned in front of him, resulting in a collision on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
Enos was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Emergency responders also transported the SUV driver, who sustained minor injuries.
Officials confirmed that authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
No lane closures were reported during the emergency response.
