MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — Meridian Police reported a fatal motorcycle crash involving a pickup truck on North Linder Road near Rocky Mountain High School at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12.
A Kawasaki motorcycle traveling north collided with a Jeep Gladiator entering the roadway. The motorcycle rider, a 20-year-old male, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts by first responders.
The rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The Ada County Coroner’s Office will disclose the rider’s identity at a later date.
No students from Rocky Mountain High School were involved in the incident. The West Ada School District implemented traffic management measures to alleviate congestion due to lane blockages in the area.
The Meridian Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team is conducting an investigation. No additional information regarding the cause of the crash has been released.
