PROSPECT, Conn. (WFSB) – A motorcycle accident on Route 69 claimed the life of a 22-year-old man on Wednesday morning.
At approximately 10:26 a.m., State Police responded to reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and a car at the intersection of Route 69 and Talmadge Hill Road, according to authorities.
Investigators determined that the motorcyclist was traveling northbound when a westbound vehicle attempted to turn left onto Route 69, resulting in a collision that caused the motorcycle to overturn.
First responders pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. He has been identified as Alexander Kaklyugin of Cheshire.
Road closures were enacted while the Accident Reconstruction Team conducted its investigation. Troopers remain on the scene.
No additional details have been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
