Motorcycle Crash in Lloyd Claims Life of 22-Year-Old
A motorcycle accident occurred on Route 299 in Lloyd on Monday night, June 1, resulting in one fatality.
According to New York State Police, the incident took place around 9:30 p.m. when a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle, traveling eastbound, collided with the rear of a dump trailer traveling in the same direction.
Police reported that the motorcycle was moving at a high rate of speed before the crash. The rider, identified as 22-year-old Felix A. Amaro Soriano of Poughkeepsie, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained critical injuries.
First responders administered life-saving measures at the scene before transporting Amaro Soriano to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital. He was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing, and State Police are urging anyone with information about the crash to contact the Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Highland at 845-344-5300.
