MONTICELLO, KY — A 26-year-old man was killed Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle collision on KY-90 near Hall Road.
According to Kentucky State Police, the crash occurred at 1:36 p.m. when Christian Vanover was westbound on a 2025 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Authorities said he struck the rear of a 2008 Honda Odyssey, driven by 57-year-old Cynthia Smith of Somerset.
Following the collision, Vanover’s motorcycle veered off the roadway and down an embankment. Police confirmed he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Vanover was initially transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital before being transferred to the University of Kentucky Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Smith and a passenger in her vehicle reported no injuries.
The incident is currently under investigation by KENTUCKY STATE POLICE Post 11.
