29-Year-Old Tiverton Woman Dies Following Motorcycle Crash, Pronounced Dead at Fall River Hospital.

A Tiverton woman was pronounced dead following a two-vehicle collision on Simmons Road in Little Compton on Saturday.

According to police, the crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and came to rest in the eastbound lane.

Emergency responders found the motorcycle operator, identified as 29-year-old Tammy Boutilier, with serious injuries. She was treated at the scene and transported by Little Compton rescue personnel to St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River, MA, where she was later pronounced deceased. The operator of the passenger vehicle suffered minor injuries and declined further medical treatment.

Investigation revealed the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Simmons Road when it lost control, crossing into the eastbound lanes and colliding with the passenger vehicle.

Simmons Road remained closed in both directions for approximately three hours while the Little Compton Police Department and the Rhode Island State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit conducted their investigation.

Authorities and local public safety officials expressed condolences to the family and friends of Tammy Boutilier.
