35-Year-Old Pensacola Man Killed in Moped Collision with Motorcycle in Escambia County.

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — A 35-year-old Pensacola man died following a collision between his moped and a motorcycle on New Warrington Road Wednesday evening.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred at approximately 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of New Warrington Road and Twin Oaks Drive.

Emergency responders, including the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, EMS, and Fire Rescue, arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported.

According to FHP, the moped rider attempted to cross New Warrington Road without yielding to the motorcycle, resulting in the collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The moped passenger, a 34-year-old woman from Mobile, sustained serious injuries, as did the motorcycle rider, a 37-year-old man from San Antonio. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation by FHP.
