UTICA, N.Y. — A 36-year-old man died following a motorcycle accident on the Oriskany Street ramp off Route 12 on July 16.
According to the Utica Police Department, officers and Utica Fire units were dispatched at approximately 9:05 a.m. Witnesses reported that the motorcyclist lost control and struck a guard rail.
The operator, Sean Jordan of Rome, was transported to Wynn Hospital for emergency medical care but succumbed to his injuries.
The Utica Police Department Accident Reconstruction Unit is conducting an investigation and will release further updates as information becomes available.
