54-Year-Old Man Airlifted to Trauma Center Following Motorcycle and SUV Collision in Charlotte Hall.

CHARLOTTE HALL, Md. — A 54-year-old man was seriously injured in a motorcycle and SUV collision Thursday evening at 7:10 p.m.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Golden Beach Road and Triangle Drive. First responders found both a motorcycle and an SUV involved in a T-bone collision, with one person trapped inside the SUV.

Firefighters extricated the trapped occupant while EMS evaluated the motorcyclist, who suffered life-threatening injuries. A Maryland State Police medical helicopter was dispatched for transport.

Emergency crews set up a landing zone at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, where Trooper 7 airlifted the motorcyclist to UM Capital Region Medical Center in Prince George’s County.

The driver of the SUV received on-scene evaluation by EMS, with no additional injuries reported.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
