WENDELL — A 56-year-old motorcyclist died following a collision with a vehicle on Lockes Village Road at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Friday.
According to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, the crash involved a motorcycle and a vehicle traveling in opposite directions. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene; the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with authorities. No charges have been filed at this time.
The Leverett Police Department reported that Lockes Village Road was closed for four hours between Jennison Road and West Street for the investigation.
The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, along with the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the Crime Scene Services Section, and the Wendell Police Department are conducting the investigation.
