57-Year-Old Man Identified as Victim in Fatal Motorcycle Crash on I-64 in Louisville.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A motorcycle crash on Interstate 64 claimed the life of a 57-year-old man on June 20, according to authorities.

Louisville Metro Police reported the incident occurred at approximately 3:01 p.m. when the motorcyclist lost control and struck a guardrail while exiting from I-64 West to I-264 East. The rider, wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as David Sloyer, confirming that he succumbed to blunt force injuries from the crash. Speed was cited as a contributing factor by officials.

Emergency responders, including the Louisville Metro Police and local medical services, arrived promptly, but life-saving measures were unsuccessful. No additional vehicles were involved in the incident, and no further injuries were reported.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing as authorities gather additional details. Lane closures were reported on the ramp during the response and investigation.
