OGDEN, Utah, Aug. 27, 2026 — A 64-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Washington Boulevard Thursday morning.
The incident occurred around 6:10 a.m. on the 1100 block of Washington Boulevard, where the man was riding a 2016 Harley-Davidson northbound. According to authorities, a 2023 Honda Element traveling south made a left turn into a parking lot, crossing into the path of the motorcycle.
Witnesses reported that the motorcycle collided with the Honda, which subsequently struck a truck waiting to exit the parking lot. The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries despite wearing a helmet. The driver of the Honda was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The Weber Metro CRASH Team has been activated to investigate the incident. The identity of the deceased rider will be withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Ogden City Police issued a statement expressing condolences to the family and friends of the victim and highlighting the importance of road safety. They urged the public to remain vigilant and cautious while driving.
Traffic was affected in the area as investigators examined the scene, and lane closures were reported.
