STOCKTON, Calif. (March 19, 2026) — A motorcycle accident involving a gray Mazda resulted in major injuries on Interstate 5 South near Downing Avenue at approximately 1:43 p.m. Thursday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist collided with the Mazda in the southbound lanes just north of the offramp. Emergency responders arrived at 1:45 p.m. and found the motorcyclist in the No. 1 lane with major, non-life-threatening injuries.
The Stockton Fire Department was notified, and a request for a tow service for the motorcycle was made. The fast lane was closed as emergency personnel managed the scene.
Authorities are investigating the accident and urge witnesses to come forward with any information.
