CROCKERY TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 35-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash early Sunday morning on State Road.
The Spring Lake man was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on State Road near 136th Avenue shortly before 12:30 a.m. when he collided with a GMC pickup truck that was backing out of a private drive, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO).
Witnesses stated the motorcyclist attempted to pass on the right side as the pickup was reversing.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and was pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup driver, a 39-year-old Kalamazoo man, and his two passengers, aged 35 and 41, were uninjured.
The OCSO is investigating the crash, and further details have not been released at this time.
