BRANFORD — A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision with an SUV on West Main Street Wednesday evening, police reported.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. in the 600 block of West Main Street. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital for treatment, according to Branford Police.
Police did not disclose details regarding the sequence of events or the positioning of the vehicles involved. The South-Central Connecticut Traffic Unit and Branford Fire Department responded to the scene.
West Main Street was closed to traffic shortly before 7:45 p.m. and reopened around 10:10 p.m., police stated.
Authorities confirmed that the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
