One hospitalized after vehicle-motorcycle collision in Logan; investigation ongoing
LOGAN — A motorcycle crash involving a red Ford coupe left one man hospitalized with serious injuries Friday afternoon around 5:37 p.m. near 1900 South and State Route 165.
According to Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Casey Erickson, the woman driving the Ford was attempting to turn left onto the highway when she collided with the southbound motorcycle. The impact ejected the 34-year-old male rider, who was wearing a helmet.
Emergency responders from the Cache County Sheriff’s Office were first on the scene. The motorcyclist sustained two broken legs and was treated by paramedics before being transported to Logan Regional Hospital in critical condition. The car’s driver suffered only minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
No citations have been issued at this time, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing. Authorities urge drivers to be vigilant and watch for motorcyclists on the road.
