Motorcyclist Killed, Two Injured in Weekend Crash on I-93 in Campton
A motorcyclist died, and two others were injured in a crash on Interstate 93 south in Campton, New Hampshire, at 4:41 p.m. on Saturday.
New Hampshire State Police reported that three motorcyclists were involved, with their bikes found on their sides at the scene. Authorities said a gust of wind led one motorcyclist to lose control and crash, prompting the other two to lay down their motorcycles to avoid a collision.
The rider who lost control was taken to Concord Hospital with severe injuries. A second motorcyclist was transported to Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth for minor injuries. The third motorcyclist, identified as 41-year-old Anthony Caton of Round Lake, New York, was initially taken to Speare before being flown to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
One lane of I-93 was closed for approximately three hours as emergency personnel cleared the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, according to authorities.
