Motorcyclist Killed in Aurora Crash Involving SUV
AURORA, Colo. — A motorcyclist died and three others sustained minor injuries in a crash at South Dunkirk Street and East Colorado Drive Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities said the incident occurred just after 2 p.m. when a motorcycle traveling southbound collided with a Nissan SUV attempting to turn left onto westbound Colorado Drive. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries. Three occupants of the SUV were also taken to the hospital.
In an update, the Aurora Police Department reported that the motorcyclist was speeding at the time of the crash. Investigators confirmed that alcohol and drugs are not believed to be contributing factors.
The crash remains under investigation, and the motorcyclist’s identity will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
