Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of Virginia Man in Kershaw County
A motorcycle crash on McBee Highway in Kershaw County left one man dead Sunday morning, according to officials.
Dennis Roethlisberger, 66, of Charlottesville, Virginia, died at the scene of the two-vehicle collision, which occurred at 7:55 a.m. near the intersection of McBee Highway and Mt. Pisgah Road.
Authorities reported that Roethlisberger’s motorcycle was traveling east on Mt. Pisgah Road when it struck a minivan heading north on McBee Highway. No injuries were reported for the minivan’s occupants.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. Further details will be released as the investigation continues.
