Two Dead in Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Crash in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY—A hit-and-run incident late Sunday night resulted in the deaths of two men in Sheepshead Bay, according to the NYPD.

The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. on the westbound Belt Parkway exit near East Seventh Street. A white Mercedes-Benz collided with a motorcycle, causing the Mercedes to overturn and collide with three parked vehicles. The motorcyclist, a 29-year-old male, and the Mercedes passenger, a 22-year-old male, were pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities reported that the driver of the Mercedes fled the scene on foot. Emergency responders transported both victims to a local hospital where they were later pronounced dead.

City Department of Transportation crews were on-site Monday to remove debris and repair the exit ramp’s fencing. Police are examining surveillance footage for identification of the suspect.
