MATTYDALE, N.Y. — A motorcycle rider was hospitalized following a collision with an SUV at the intersection of E. Molloy Road and Brown Street on Sunday, July 12.
According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene at approximately 11:35 a.m.
Authorities reported that the SUV was making a left turn onto East Molloy Road when the motorcycle struck its side.
The rider, a man, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and is currently in critical condition, officials said.
The driver of the SUV remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. The motorcycle was confirmed to be street legal according to Public Information Officer Doug Roser.
No citations have been issued at this time, and the investigation into the crash remains active.
