LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. (WSBT) — A crash involving two motorcycles and a car in LaPorte County has left one man dead.
Authorities responded to the intersection of US-421 and School Road at 4 p.m. Saturday.
According to police, 19-year-old Daniel Quiroz was driving the car when he collided with a motorcycle operated by 42-year-old Ryan Harrison.
The impact caused Harrison and his passenger to be ejected from their motorcycle.
Witnesses reported that Quiroz continued driving and subsequently struck a second motorcycle, resulting in similar injuries for that pair.
Harrison and his passenger were airlifted to Memorial Hospital, where Harrison succumbed to his injuries.
The second duo was transported to Franciscan Hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities said there are ongoing investigations into the crash. No further information is available at this time.
