EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WJAR) — East Greenwich police confirmed that a man died in a motorcycle accident on Thursday evening.
According to authorities, the crash occurred on Frenchtown Road around 7:40 p.m., involving a motorcycle and a vehicle.
The motorcycle operator, identified as 80-year-old William Eldred of North Kingstown, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation, police said.
