Nodaway County Motorcycle Accident Sends One Individual to Hospital.

(Burlington Junction) — One person was hospitalized following a motorcycle accident in Nodaway County on Tuesday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the incident occurred at approximately 6:41 p.m. on eastbound U.S. Highway 136 at Missouri Highway 113, near Burlington Junction city limits. A 1995 Honda 1100 Shadow motorcycle, operated by a 40-year-old male from Burlington Junction, failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the center line, and skidded off the roadway. The motorcycle overturned, struck a utility pole, and came to rest facing north.

Authorities confirmed a 41-year-old female passenger, also from Burlington Junction, sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Nodaway County EMS to Mosaic Life Care in Maryville. The driver declined treatment for suspected minor injuries.

The Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the response. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
