Two Killed in High-Speed Crash in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn
A high-speed collision between a motorcycle and a Mercedes Benz left two men dead late Sunday night in Brooklyn. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. near Shore Parkway and East 7th Street.
According to police, the crash happened as both vehicles were exiting the Belt Parkway. The force of the impact caused the Mercedes to overturn, landing on three parked cars. Witnesses reported seeing the Mercedes flip multiple times before coming to a rest upside down.
Authorities confirmed that the 22-year-old motorcyclist and a 28-year-old passenger in the Mercedes succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The driver of the Mercedes fled the scene on foot and is still being sought by police.
Emergency responders were on-site to assist, and a gun was recovered from the crash area after the vehicle was righted. The investigation remains ongoing, with no further details on the driver’s identity or potential charges available at this time.
