WESTPORT, Mass. (WJAR) — A 29-year-old man died following a motorcycle crash on Main Road in Westport late Saturday night.
At approximately 11:38 p.m., police responded to the scene of a single-vehicle motorcycle collision involving a Harley Davidson.
The operator, identified as John Soares IV of Fall River, was ejected approximately 50 feet from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities reported that both a telephone pole and a stone wall sustained damage in the accident.
The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, in conjunction with the Westport Police Department, is currently investigating the incident.
