PHOENIX — A motorcycle crash involving a minivan left one man critically injured on Monday evening in west Phoenix.
The collision occurred at approximately 6:41 p.m. near the intersection of 35th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. Fire officials confirmed the motorcycle rider, identified as Melero Cruz, 28, was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
According to authorities, Cruz failed to stop for a red light, leading to the collision with the minivan that was making a left turn. The scene has since been turned over to the Phoenix Police Department for further investigation.
No additional details regarding the minivan driver or any possible injuries have been released. Lane closures were reported in the area as the investigation continued.
