SUNFLOWER, AZ (Local News Wire) — Two people sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle collision on State Route 87 near Sunflower on Monday morning.
At approximately 10:00 a.m., Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers responded to an incident involving a motorcycle and a sedan at mile marker 215.
Emergency personnel transported the motorcycle riders via helicopter to hospitals in the Phoenix area. The identities and ages of the injured individuals have not been disclosed.
A third occupant believed to have been in the sedan also sustained injuries; however, details regarding their condition remain unconfirmed.
Officials from the Arizona Department of Transportation reported no lane closures, but drivers should anticipate delays around the area.
