30-Year-Old Motorcyclist Airlifted to Trauma Center Following Crash in California, MD.

CALIFORNIA, Md. — A 30-year-old man was critically injured in a motorcycle crash late Friday night in California.

The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. on August 28, 2026, near the intersection of Long Bow Drive and Indian Bridge Road. Emergency responders found the rider with facial injuries, head and neck pain, and difficulty breathing.

Maryland Department of Emergency Services evaluated the man at the scene before transporting him by ambulance to St. Mary’s County Regional Airport. Maryland State Police Aviation Command Trooper 7 was on standby and airlifted the patient to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center for further treatment.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, according to authorities.
