CLAY COUNTY, Iowa (KTIV) – One person was killed in a head-on collision at the intersection of County Road B-24 and 190th Ave in Clay County, Iowa, at 7:23 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, 35-year-old Ryan Cundiff of Spencer was driving west on County Road B-24 in a Chevrolet Traverse when his vehicle crossed the centerline. A GMC Acadia, driven by 20-year-old Gabriel Campbell of Hartley, was traveling east at the time.
The crash report indicates that the Chevrolet Traverse collided head-on with the GMC Acadia. Cundiff was pronounced dead at the scene.
Campbell and a 5-year-old passenger were transported to a hospital in Spencer for treatment of their injuries.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
