Ottawa motorcycle crash in park injures two.

Two people were injured Wednesday night after their motorcycle crashed in Forest Park, Ottawa, Kansas.

According to the Ottawa Police Department, officers responded to the scene around 8:15 p.m. The motorcycle, operated by a 44-year-old male with a 47-year-old female passenger, struck a barricade and overturned.

Both individuals sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment. No fatalities were reported.

Authorities urge drivers to remain vigilant on roadways, particularly as warmer weather increases motorcycle traffic. Additionally, motorcyclists are reminded to wear appropriate safety gear while riding.

The Ottawa Police Department expressed gratitude to the Ottawa Fire Department, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin County Emergency Communications, and Franklin County EMS for their assistance during the incident.
