LEE COUNTY, Iowa (KWQC) – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision caused by a driver turning into a driveway in Fort Madison on Friday morning.
Ian W. Eaves, 39, of Fort Madison, died at the scene at approximately 6:14 a.m. in the 5000 block of Avenue O, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
Authorities reported that a 52-year-old male driving a Chevy Impala was traveling westbound on Avenue O when he failed to yield while making a left turn into a private driveway, resulting in the motorcycle crash.
The Iowa State Patrol is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
