AMHERST COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – One person was killed in a motorcycle accident on Elon Rd. in Amherst County on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m., involving a single motorcycle.
According to Virginia State Police, 30-year-old Dakota B. Fitzgerald of Madison Heights was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound when he lost control while attempting to pass another vehicle.
Authorities reported that Fitzgerald died at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no further information has been released.
