A motorcycle crash in west Bexar County, Texas, resulted in a fireball and minor injuries to the driver on Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Oakwood Crest and Wooden Fox, with the driver sustaining second-degree burns. Authorities confirmed that the driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Video footage captured by neighbor Robert Perez showed the motorcycle entering the scene at high speed before crashing into the curb and igniting in flames. A group of four children on the sidewalk were seen fleeing moments before the impact, avoiding serious injury.
Witnesses reported that the driver, flung into the fire, ran toward a playground at Stone Creek Park. Bexar County Sheriff’s Office officials noted that nearby motorists assisted the driver and children until first responders arrived.
Neighbors expressed concern about traffic safety in the area, citing previous crashes and advocating for speed bumps and four-way stops. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
