Shakopee Woman Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Hwy. 169 in Bloomington
BLOOMINGTON, MN – A 29-year-old woman from Shakopee died Saturday night in a wrong-way crash on Highway 169.
The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. at the Highway 169 and Anderson Lakes Parkway interchange. A Pontiac traveling south in the northbound lanes collided with a northbound Hyundai, which then struck a northbound pickup truck, according to the State Patrol.
Jasmine Jayde Nanclares, the driver of the Pontiac, was pronounced dead at the scene. Nasteho Rashid Dagane, 25, of Shakopee, was driving the Hyundai and was taken to a Twin Cities hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 18-year-old driver and passenger of the pickup truck were uninjured.
Authorities have not confirmed whether Nanclares had alcohol in her system or if she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. According to the crash report, all other involved parties were properly restrained.
The State Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
