GRANT TWP., Mich. (WLUC) – A 68-year-old man from White Plains, Kentucky, died in a motorcycle crash on Monday.
According to the Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Office, responders were dispatched at approximately 11:59 a.m. to a single-vehicle crash on US-41 near the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge.
The victim was traveling northbound on US-41 when he failed to negotiate a curve and collided with a guardrail. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Office. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Emergency responders included the Copper Harbor Fire & First Responders, Mercy Ambulance, and the Keweenaw County Medical Examiner’s Office.
