SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a car on Highway 6 in Utah County on Sunday night.
The incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. about 13 miles east of Santaquin, according to Sgt. Luis Silva with the Utah Highway Patrol.
The 46-year-old motorcyclist had stopped in the right lane due to mechanical issues when he was struck by a westbound vehicle.

The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. A second rider on the motorcycle was unharmed, while the car’s driver and passenger received minor injuries.
Emergency crews closed US-6 in both directions during the investigation and clean-up efforts. The highway has since reopened, as confirmed by UDOT’s Traffic Monitor.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
