Mississippi Man Arrested in Connection with Fatal Nashville Crash, Police Report.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – An 18-year-old Mississippi man has been charged with vehicular homicide following a fatal crash on Brick Church Pike on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the incident occurred around 2:41 p.m. in the 2400 block of Brick Church Pike, involving three vehicles.

Preliminary investigations revealed Joshua McNeal, of Cleveland, MS, was driving a Ram 1500 northbound at a high rate of speed. Officials said he attempted to pass vehicles in a center turn lane, lost control, and collided head-on with a Honda.

A Toyota Camry, traveling in the northbound lane, was also struck but its driver sustained no injuries.

The Honda’s driver, identified as 20-year-old Robert Crawford III of Old Hickory, was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

Two passengers in McNeal’s vehicle were taken to hospitals with minor injuries. McNeal himself was treated at TriStar Skyline Medical Center and released before being booked into Davidson County Jail.

McNeal faces charges including vehicular homicide by reckless conduct, reckless endangerment, and three counts of aggravated assault. His bond is set at $90,000.

The investigation is ongoing, and lane closures were reported following the incident.
